Industrial design at its best

A heavy-duty industrial packaging that looks like consumer packaging. ProofBox, developed by SKF to protect their anti friction bearings during transport, is a textbook example of industrial design at its best.

Involved from the beginning

As an active part of the project group GeJi was involved in the technical design process including technical solutions and drawings, all based on the designer’s proposals. As a competent partner in plastics, GeJi has been responsible in the selection of materials and tool-producers.

Production from A to Z

ProofBox is manufactured by injection-moulding in polypropylen. All parts, including the innovative inset that keeps the bearings fixed, are produced at the GeJi plant.
The ProofBox is available in 3 sizes – but the flexible design makes it possible to pack 48 different bearings.

The softly shaped box is easy to handle and pile, and therefore provides a simplified packaging process that also can be automatized.
